New Programs Through the Frisco Workforce Center

Colorado Workforce Center is here to help you get back to work and enhance your job skills.
The following programs may be of interest to you! Sign up for an informational meeting at the Frisco Workforce Center and learn more about these programs on: January 15th, January 20th or January 26th
Hire Colorado – On-The- Job Training Program•Paid on the job training!
•The Colorado Workforce Center will cover your wages!
•Provide additional training to improve your job skills
•Design a program around your interests and goals
•Must meet the following eligibility requirements:
•Have child under the age of 18
•United States citizenship
•Household annual income less than $75,000 for 12 month period prior to enrollment
•Resident of region served by the workforce center
•Priority given to those on unemployment
Additional Unemployment Insurance Benefits for students in approved training (CEATP)
•Colorado Enhanced Approved Training Program (CEATP)
•Must be on an initial Unemployment claim
•Must be taking classes in an in-demand field and be approved through the Workforce
Workforce Center Training Opportunities – Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
•Federally funded program to increase in-demand occupational skills
•Short term occupational training assistance- within a 2 year period or less
•Learn new skills to place you above the competition in a tough job market!
•Individual programs designed for adults and youth (eligibility rules apply)
Elevate America - Microsoft Computer Training
•Learn and train in Microsoft computer applications
•Official certifications directly from the Microsoft Corporation!
•Enhance your technical skills needed for the job market of today
•Must be a Colorado resident to qualify
CareerReady Colorado Certificates• Governor approved certificates for employers to quickly identify skilled workers
•Available for Applied Math, Reading for Information and Locating Information
•Gold, Silver, and Bronze certificates based on your proficiency
•Develop your skills to compete for higher wage jobs!
FIRC – Family Intercultural Resource Center Self - Sufficiency Grant
•Develop new or additional job skills
•For Summit residents who live below 200% Federal Poverty Level
•Priority for families with at least one child under 18, however, individuals or families
•with multiple adults may also apply
•Help provide educational or job training so individuals can improve their job skills
•and achieve better employment. Focus is on short term employment goal
Colorado Mountain College – Entrepreneurial Workshops
•Is Entrepreneurship For You? CMC Dillon Wed. Feb 3rd, 1:00–4:00 pm
