DEGREES IN REIKI

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.  Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use.  It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect.

It is administered by “laying-on of hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.  If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki Attunement Class.  This ability is passed on during an “attunement” given by a Reiki Master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of “life force energy” to improve one’s health and enhance the quality of life.

The First Degree Reiki course teaches the basic theories and procedures of how to work with Reiki energy.  The channel through which Reiki energy passes to the practitioner is said to be opened or widened through four “attunements” given to the student by the teacher.  First degree prepares the body for the increased energy flow of Reiki.

Students learn hand placement positions on the recipient’s body that are thought to be most conducive to the healing process in a whole body treatment.  Having completed the First Degree course, the participant can treat himself and others with Reiki.

Second Degree Reiki gives the student the use of symbols which are said to enhance the healing effect and allow for distance healing.  This second attunement is given to further increase the capacity for Reiki to flow through the student, as well as empowering the use of the symbols.  Having completed the Second Degree, the student can treat people with Reiki without being physically present with the recipient (distance healing).  The First Degree is a prerequisite for the Second Degree.

All healers use life force energy or Ki, not all use Reiki.   Reiki is a special kind of life force that can only be channeled by someone that has been attuned to it by a Reiki Master.    Healers who haven’t received an attunement from a Reiki Master are using a different kind of life force.  Clients doing healing work on a regular basis, report an increase of at least fifty percent in the strength of their healing energies after taking the Reiki attunements.
