Our Great Life - Summit County, Colorado
Great people. Great Businesses. Great Lives.
Sometimes it is a challenge just knowing where to start…and communication can get stalled in the quickest ways. Petting a dog is communication. If we reach for a dog and quickly pull back, we startle ourselves and the dog. Then we have to begin again by calming ourselves and the dog. It’s the same with people, we can always begin again and calm each other so we can speak and listen; hear and be heard.

Having been teaching several Word Level 1 classes recently, I have been reminded of some of the great features (in my opinion) that have to do with working with Styles. Hopefully you saw my blog in March 2011 which explains concepts of formatting including a Style. Check out the blog to get the big picture..(…

In persistent cases of acne that do not respond to topical treatment, an antibiotic alternative is usually exercised by doctors. An antibiotic is a drug, synthetic or natural, that kills bacterial proteins while inhibiting bacterial growth alongside. If it was limited to this action, antibiotics would be the most preferred treatment for numerous bacterial disorders including acne. Often jobs at a ski area are a mini crash-course in Life Skills - from meeting the needs of our guests to connecting with fellow workers who can both come from all parts of the world with a myriad of perspectives and cultural views that differ from ours. I recently returned from nearly 6 weeks in my beautiful homeland - South Africa. I had a blast! Not only did I get to eat my way from north to south (you know I love good food!), stroke a cheetah and avoid being chomped by a great white shark (photos below), but I got to share the experience with a group of friends from Summit County! A dream come true for me.
I am so grateful to be surrounded by adventurous, fun-loving, grab-life-by-the-horns people! They enrich my life more than…

Stress comes in all shapes and sizes and can affect us emotionally, mentally, and physically. Stress can cause disease and often will escalate enough…

We are so happy to have many parents come out to the Summit Prevention Alliance's Dialogue Over Dinner. Last nights subject of Healthy Dating & Teen Sexuality was a great discussion lead by Dawn from Advocates of Victims of Assault. Many people left with a great awareness of the opportunities to have difficult conversations with their middle and high school kids to help protect them from unhealthy relationships, especially ones involving "sexting" and other pop culture driven…

As fall arrives there is a natural time of going within – which can be wonderful or sheer agony, depending on what’s up for you in the moment. Feeling ungrounded, distracted by all around you, and fuzzy thinking are good indicators that you are triggered and in need of some stress release tools to be able to cultivate peace of mind in your everyday life.
It can feel as if there is more than one thinking…
